How a flow works
Triggers, items, fields and the order blocks run in.
Every flow starts with a trigger: a schedule, a webhook, a chat message, an app event or new rows in a table. The trigger starts a run, and the run goes through the blocks in the order they are linked.
Blocks pass a list of items to the next block. An item is one thing found: a place, a company, a job posting, a road closure, a ship. Each block adds fields to the items it passes on: a data block adds names and addresses, an AI block adds a score and a reason, Find nearest adds the distance to your closest site.
Branches and joins
A block can link to several blocks: each gets the same items. Branch sends items that match a rule one way and the others another way. When two links come into one block, it gets the items of both.
Blocks that bring items in
Most blocks work on the items that reach them, so something before them must bring items in: a data block (Nearby places, Map business scan, Job postings...), a webhook, new rows or My data. A block with nothing reaching it is marked on the canvas with Nothing reaches it.
