Team and personal connections

Who can use, change and see each sign-in.

  • Team connections are added by admins; every flow in the organization can use them.
  • Personal connections can be added by anyone; only flows owned by that person can use them, and nobody else can change them.
  • Sign-in details are encrypted and never shown again after you save them.

A new connection is your own unless an admin chooses Team, which asks first and says what everyone will be able to do with it.

Only accounts that are not a person can be shared with the team: Slack (the xMap Flows bot), WhatsApp Business, Telegram bots, CRMs and other company systems, databases, API keys, and Google through a service account. Signing in with Google or Microsoft (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Sheets, Docs, Outlook, Teams, Excel), Todoist, Apollo, or Notion, Asana and ClickUp by your own sign-in is you, so it is always your own connection.

Slack's rules: on a Slack connection, Channels flows may use keeps every flow to the channels listed (posting, approvals, the Team inbox and the New message event), and Messages to people directly can be switched off. Changing them does not sign you out.

The person a team connection signs in as is told the first time a colleague's flow sends with it.
