Building flows

Version history and editing together

Restore an earlier flow, and work on one flow with a colleague.

History in the editor lists earlier versions of the flow: one is kept at most every ten minutes while you work, and before every restore. Open one to see it, and restore it if you want.

What changed beside a version shows the flow drawn small with each change marked: blocks added in green, removed in red, changed in amber, moved with an outline where they were. Beside it the same changes are in plain words, such as My city: Cities: London to Paris, Removed Map them or Drew an arrow. Compare that version with the flow as it is now (what restoring it would undo), or see what that version itself changed; Before and After show each as it was. Restore this version is there too.

Two people can work on the same flow at once. Their initials show at the top; when one saves, the other's canvas takes the change and keeps their own unsaved work. If both changed the same block, the latest change wins and the editor says which block it was.

While you are both in the flow, you see each other's cursor on the canvas, with a first name, and a block someone selected has a ring in their colour. Only where the pointer is and which blocks are selected are shared, with people who can open the flow. In Settings, Live cursors, you can stop showing other people's cursors, or stop sharing your own.

Comments on a block. Press C (or Pin to a block in the Comments panel), then click a block or an empty spot of the canvas, and write. Everyone who can open the flow sees a small pin there with how many messages it holds; type @ to mention a teammate, who gets a notice and an email with a link straight to it. Click a pin to read, reply or Resolve: a resolved conversation leaves the canvas and stays in the Comments panel under Resolved, where it can be opened again. Whoever started a conversation, or anyone who can edit the flow, can resolve it.
