Getting started

Start from a template

Pick one of 1,000 ready-made flows, answer two questions and run it.

Open it in the app

Templates are complete flows written for a job and an industry: what to find, where, how to rank it and where to send it. There are 1,000 of them for 40 industries, and every one says what each run gives you and the time it saves.

Finding the right one

  • Open Templates in the app, or the public gallery.
  • Type what you want into the search box: new gyms in Dubai to my sales team on Slack. xMap AI reads the catalogue and picks the templates that fit, with a reason for each.
  • Or narrow the list with Industry and Use case (sales, site selection, monitoring...), each with its own short search, then level, how often it runs, and whether it uses AI.
  • Each industry also has its own page listing every template for it by use case: see Industries.

Using it

  1. Press Use it. Templates that search a city and a type of place ask for both.
  2. The flow opens in your organization, named after the template and your city, and tests itself on example data.
  3. Change anything you like: every block stays editable.
  4. Press Run once to see real results, then Deploy.

Every template ends with an Email of the results. On a template page you need no account first: choose the place, enter a work email and it runs; a step for an app you have not connected yet (HubSpot, WhatsApp, Google Sheets...) is left out until you connect it. A template that starts from your own list (your stores, sites or customers) asks for it once you are signed in: upload a CSV, paste a Google Sheet link (shared as Anyone with the link can view, or read through Sign in with Google), pick one of your tables, or try it on example rows. The list is kept in My data, and rows without a latitude and longitude get one from their address or city.

Make it yours in one sentence

Every template has a Make it yours box: on its page, under Use it now; on each card in the gallery; and in the app’s Hire window. Say where, what, when and where the results go, for example pharmacies in Toronto and Montreal, every weekday at 8, send it to Slack. xMap AI fills the template’s questions with the city and the kind of place, sets its timetable, and Ask xMap adds the app the results go to; everything else stays as the template has it. Check the choices it filled in, change any of them, then run it. Adding an app costs one Ask xMap message; the rest is free.
