Watch rivers and the sea near your places
The nearest river against its own past year, and the waves near a coast, for up to 7 days.
Floods and sea conditions brings in two forecasts from Open-Meteo, made from the European Copernicus services: river flow from GloFAS, the global flood model, and the sea’s waves, swell and temperature.
- Look at: rivers, the sea, or both.
- Where: each place that reaches it (your sites, warehouses, ports), each city or area of the Area of interest, cities you type, or a point.
- Look for a river within: 5 or 10 km. The model works on a grid of about 5 km, so the block looks at the cells around each place and watches the biggest river there; a small stream does not count, and a place with none says No river nearby.
- Days ahead: today and up to 7 days.
Each place gets river_level (Normal, Above normal, High or Very high, against the same river’s past year), river_vs_usual_pct, river_max_ahead, river_peak_day, river_trend, and near a coast sea_state (Calm to High), wave_max_m, swell_m, sea_temp_c and sea_rough_days. Inland places say Inland: no sea nearby. Put a Filter on River vs usual (%) or Wave height (m) after it.
These are forecasts from global models, not river gauges or official warnings: use them to plan, and follow your authorities’ flood warnings.
