Watch natural hazards near your places
Earthquakes, floods, tropical cyclones, volcanoes, droughts and wildfires around your sites, in an area or worldwide.
Natural hazards brings in what is happening now: earthquakes from the United States Geological Survey (USGS), floods, tropical cyclones, volcanoes and droughts from GDACS (the disaster alert system of the United Nations and the European Commission), and wildfires seen by NASA’s satellites.
- Hazards: pick the kinds you care about.
- Where: around each place that reaches it (your stores, depots or insured properties), inside the Area of interest, around a point, or anywhere in the world. Within sets how far from a place an event counts.
- Happened: the last day, 3 days, week or 30 days; an event still going on counts. Wildfires seen by satellite go back 5 days at most.
- Smallest earthquake and Level (green, orange or red) keep only what matters to you.
- Pass on: the events, each with
nearanddistance_km, or each of your places withhazards_nearby,hazard_level, the nearest event and a count of each kind.
Each event has name, hazard, alert_level, severity, started, ended, country, lat, lng, a link to the source and, by kind, magnitude, wind_kmh, hotspots or area_km2. Put Only new after it so each event comes once, or a Filter on Hazards nearby or Magnitude. A drought covers a large region: a place counts as near it when it is inside its rough extent. Its price is on the block’s page.
