Get messages on WhatsApp
Add your number once; your AI employees write to you from xMap’s WhatsApp, nothing to connect.
In Settings, Your WhatsApp, press Add my WhatsApp number, type your number with its country code and the 6-digit code that xMap’s WhatsApp number sends you. That is all: no connection, no Meta account. You can also add it from a WhatsApp block (Add my number under Send to).
In a flow, the WhatsApp block starts on Send from: xMap’s WhatsApp and Send to: me (the flow’s owner). Add teammates by their email or number, separated by commas. Only people of your organization who added and confirmed their own number get these messages: a number of anyone else is left out and the step says so. Leave Message empty for the flow’s name and a short list of what it found, or write your own with {{field}}, {{count}} and {{items}}.
To write to customers or anyone else, pick Send from: my own WhatsApp number and connect your WhatsApp Business account (Sign in with Meta). Messages then come from your number.
Notices can come on WhatsApp too: in Settings, Notifications, switch on On WhatsApp for the kinds you want. Only notices that ring under How many a day are sent there, at most 15 a day.
WhatsApp’s rule: a business may send free text only within 24 hours of your last message to it. Outside that window xMap sends the same words as a short approved update message. Writing anything to xMap’s number opens the window again. Send STOP to stop every message, and START to get them again.
Each message a flow sends costs the WhatsApp block’s credits (shown at the foot of its settings); test runs send nothing. Notices are free. A person gets at most 40 messages a day from xMap’s number, and an organization’s flows send at most 300 a day.
