Count schools, parks, stops and more with Map features
OpenStreetMap’s features around each place or in an area: any kind, or any OpenStreetMap tag.
Map features reads OpenStreetMap, the open map of the world, for the things around your places: schools, parks, bus stops, train and metro stations, parking, pharmacies, hospitals, substations, playgrounds and more. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors.
- Find: up to five kinds, or Or an OpenStreetMap tag such as
amenity=bench, shop=bakeryorhighway=crossing. - Each incoming place, with counts: your places go on with
osm_features, a count for each kind (osm_schools,osm_parks...) and the nearest one with its distance in metres. - The features found, or the Area of interest or a point: each feature with its name, kind, tag, address, opening hours, website and a link to it on OpenStreetMap.
Put a Filter on Map features nearby after it to keep the places with none (schools with no crossing) or with many (homes with shops on foot). It costs two credits for each place, point or area searched; places about 100 m apart share one search, and a search is kept 30 days.
OpenStreetMap is mapped by volunteers, very well in most cities and less in some places. Searches go to the public Overpass server, which asks for light use, so an area is searched within 10 km of its middle. Distances are in a straight line.
