What xMap remembers about your company
Your city, industry and what you sell, filled in for you and always yours to change.
When you start from your website (the first minute, or Start from the website), xMap AI reads it and remembers what your company does and sells, its website, your city and the kind of place you work with: the places you sell to, or your own kind if you run places. Your answer to What does your company do? is your industry.
- A template's city question starts on your city, in the Hire window and on template pages, and says so.
- The example in Make it yours names your kind of place and your city.
- Ask xMap uses them when you leave where or what open, and never asks where when it knows your city; a request that names another city or kind wins.
- A new Area of interest block starts on your city, and a new Nearby places block on your kind of place.
See and change them in Settings, What xMap remembers about you: change any of them, or Clear it. When a field is empty, nothing is assumed: blocks keep their usual starting points. An organization admin can change what is already remembered; anyone who can build can fill in what is still empty.
