Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another AI assistant (MCP)
Let an assistant build, check and run your flows, on a computer or a phone.
xMap Flows has an MCP server at https://flows.xmap.ai/mcp. Claude and ChatGPT connect to it by signing in through the browser: you sign in to xMap Flows and press Allow, and no key is needed. Other assistants, such as Claude Code, Cursor and Windsurf, use a personal access key. Either way the assistant acts as you, with the access you have: it can list your AI employees and blocks, build and change flows in plain words, check them, run them and read what they found.
Claude, on the web and on your phone
- On a computer, open claude.ai and go to Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector.
- Name it xMap Flows, paste
https://flows.xmap.ai/mcpand press Add. Leave the client ID and secret empty. - Press Connect, sign in to xMap Flows and press Allow.
- Open the Claude app on your phone: xMap Flows is in its tools, with nothing more to set up. The phone apps have no screen for adding a connector, so the first step is always on the website.
On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner of your Claude organization may need to add the connector for everyone first.
ChatGPT, on the web and on your phone
- On chatgpt.com, go to Settings, Apps & Connectors, Advanced and switch on Developer mode (on Business and Enterprise plans an admin switches it on).
- Create a connector named xMap Flows with the address
https://flows.xmap.ai/mcpand choose OAuth. - Sign in to xMap Flows and press Allow.
- It then shows in the ChatGPT app on your phone. If it does not, close and open the app again.
Which ChatGPT plans may use developer mode is decided by OpenAI and may change.
Claude Code, Cursor and other assistants
Make a personal access key under Settings, API keys and AI assistants: the window shows the command for Claude Code and the settings for Cursor, Windsurf and others.
Things to ask
- List my AI employees and say which ones are working.
- Build a flow that finds new coffee shops in Toronto every Monday and emails me the list.
- Test run my coffee shops flow and show me the first results.
- How many pharmacies are within 2 km of Shibuya Station, and where are the gaps?
- What did my AI employees find this week?
What it can and cannot do
- A test run sends nothing. The assistant asks you before a real run, a deploy, or anything that sends an email or an app message.
- Searches on live data use your organization’s credits, as they do in the app, and the assistant says the price first.
- An assistant connected through the browser never asks for passwords or keys: add connections to apps and databases in the app, under Data, Connections.
- It sees only your own organizations, and only the flows you may see there.
Connected assistants show under Settings, API keys and AI assistants; delete one to disconnect it at once.
