Ask the map a question
How many of a kind of place, how many people for each, and where the gaps are, answered on the spot.
Ask Ask xMap (or the box on Flows) a question about places, such as How many pharmacies are there in Lyon, and where are the gaps? It reads the kind of place, the place and the distance (1, 2 or 5 km; 5 km when you do not say), and shows what the answer costs before anything runs: a search for each kind of place, and one of who lives there when you ask about people or gaps, as a run would.
- Answer it searches xMap’s places database (the nearest 500 of each kind) and, for people, xMap’s population grid.
- The answer gives the count, how many are chains or independent, the average rating, the people living there and how many people for each place.
- The biggest gaps: the circle is cut into nine parts, and the parts where the most people live for each place are named (north-east, the centre...) and shown on the small map.
- Where xMap has no population figures, it says so and shows where there are fewest instead.
Make this run every week saves the same question as a flow (a draft): every Monday it finds the places, keeps the new ones and emails them, with all of them on a map. Change anything, then press Run once or Deploy.
