Apollo
Apollo finds the people to talk to at each company your flow found, from your own Apollo account: the owner, the general manager, the purchasing manager or any job title you pick, with their LinkedIn and work email. It can also add each company’s size, industry and revenue, or look a person up by their email. Put it after Map business scan, Nearby places, Job postings or a webhook, and the people travel on to xMap AI, your CRM, Slack or Draft intro.
In the editor: The people to talk to at each company, and the company’s details, from your own Apollo account (apollo.io): decision makers by job title with their LinkedIn and work email; or the company’s size, industry, revenue and LinkedIn page; or a person from their email. Matched by each company’s website, or its company LinkedIn profile when it has no website. It uses your Apollo credits, not xMap’s. The lookup runs on the server.

Find each company by
Pick oneHow Apollo finds each company. By default its website first; when a company has no website, or its website finds nobody, its company LinkedIn profile is used: Apollo is asked for companies of that name and only the one with the same profile is kept, so a look-alike company is never taken. Job postings bring each company’s profile (company_linkedin); any field holding a linkedin.com/company/ address works. Each result says which way it was found (apollo_match), and the step says how many profiles Apollo did not know.

How to use it
Decision makers at new cafes
Map business scan finds the new cafes, xMap AI keeps the good fits, and Apollo adds the owner and the purchasing manager, so the morning email says who to call, not only where.
Growing companies and who buys there
A company hiring is growing. Apollo’s company details give xMap AI its size to score on, and the second Apollo block finds its buyers.
Big employers near my office, and who runs it
The biggest employers around your office, sized with Apollo’s company details, with their office managers, posted to Slack: the neighbours worth a visit.
Who runs the businesses around my stores
Nearby places finds the new businesses around each store and Apollo names who runs them: partners for promotions, or new customers next door.
Merchants to call about card terminals
A payments company wants the owners of the new restaurants in three cities, to offer them card terminals.
Before: Sales reps searched LinkedIn for each new restaurant by hand.
With the flow: Each new restaurant reaches HubSpot with its owner’s name and email the morning it appears.
The buyers at new hotels
Company details sort out the small guest houses first, so the contacts the team gets are at hotels big enough to buy.
Brands opening in a new mall
The marketing manager of each new store, with xMap AI’s pitch written for that brand.
Who signed up?
A software company gets sign-ups with a work email and wants to know who they are before calling.
The email alone becomes a name, a title and a company, and xMap AI says whether to call today.
Good to know
- Apollo works with your own Apollo account: your Apollo plan and credits, not xMap’s. The block itself costs no xMap credits.
- Companies are matched by their website, and when they have none (or it finds nobody) by their company LinkedIn profile, keeping only the Apollo company with the same profile. Pages on Instagram, Facebook and other social sites are not company websites; the step says how many were found each way, how many profiles Apollo did not know and how many had neither.
- Apollo’s people search is free but gives first names and job titles only. Full name, LinkedIn and work email (on by default) asks Apollo for each contact’s details, which uses about 1 credit of your Apollo plan each. Test runs only search, so they show first names; Run once and live runs ask for the rest.
- Up to 50 companies a run. The same company twice is asked once.
- People are found by job title: Apollo matches titles that contain your words, so Purchasing Manager also finds Senior Purchasing Manager.
- Without an Apollo account connected, a test run shows made-up contacts so you can build the flow; Run once and deploying need the account.
- The contacts are personal data from your Apollo account: keep them for your own sales work, as Apollo’s terms and data protection law require.
Works well with
- Map business scan: Finds businesses on online maps live: name, category, rating, address, phone, website and whether it is open.
- Nearby places: Places around a point from xMap’s own places database (300M+ places, refreshed every month): pick the types of place (more than 5,000, such as Restaurant, Cafe, Pharmacy, Hospital or Gas station, or a whole group of them) and how far to look.
- Job postings: Live job postings: who is hiring, for what, and where.
- xMap LLM: Tell the AI what to do in plain words.
- Filter: Keeps only the items that match a rule.
- POI Intelligence: Adds details to each place found by Map business scan: categories (cuisine), price level, opening hours, phone, website, amenities and a short description, and if you want them its latest reviews.
- Webhook / API: Starts the flow when another system sends a POST request with a JSON body to this flow’s webhook URL.
- HubSpot: Powerful CRM that offers tools for sales, customer service, and marketing automation.
