Property management
The challenge. Chloe manages eighty rental homes for owners across Perth, from Fremantle to the northern beaches. She works on her own. When a winter storm comes in off the ocean, she hears about it from tenants after the damage. A blocked gutter floods a laundry, a loose shed roof lands in a neighbour’s yard. Each repair claim eats days of her week and an owner’s patience.
The flow. With xMap Flows, Chloe built Sentinel. Every evening at six, Sentinel takes her eighty rentals, checks the forecast at each one for the next two days, keeps the homes facing strong wind or heavy rain, messages each tenant to clear the gutters and tie things down, and logs it in her owners’ sheet.
The result. On Tuesday evening, Sentinel warned twenty-three tenants in the coastal suburbs about Thursday’s storm. Twenty cleared their gutters. Chloe had two small repairs that week instead of nine, and every owner could see she had warned them first. Chloe used to hear about storms from the damage. Now her tenants hear first.

Insurance broking
The challenge. Mia is an independent insurance broker in Auckland, with three hundred clients, from homes on the North Shore to boatyards in Westhaven. When a big storm is coming, she wants to warn every client. But she hears about it on the news the night before, and can call only twenty people. The rest wake up to flooded garages and loose roofs, claims she could have helped them avoid.
The flow. With xMap Flows, Mia built Sentinel. Every morning at six, Sentinel takes every client's property, reads the next three days of forecast at each one, picks out those facing winds above ninety kilometres an hour, writes advice that fits each property, and emails it from Mia, two days early.
The result. When the last storm turned towards Auckland, Sentinel warned one hundred and forty clients two days before it hit. Boats were lifted out, gutters cleared, furniture tied down. Her storm claims fell by a third, and four clients sent her their friends. Mia's clients still get storms. They just stopped getting surprised.
