POI Intelligence

POI Intelligence adds the details to each place that Map business scan found: its other categories (the cuisine, for a restaurant), its price level, its opening hours for the week, phone, website, a link to it on the map, its amenities and a short description. There is nothing to set: put it right after the scan, and each place is looked up live by its own ID on the map. Switch on Reviews and each place also gets its latest reviews: the rating, when, and what people wrote.

In the editor: Adds details to each place found by Map business scan: categories (cuisine), price level, opening hours, phone, website, amenities and a short description, and if you want them its latest reviews.

What comes out

Each item that leaves the block carries these fields, to use in the blocks after it as {{field}}.

Added to each place from Map business scan

The place keeps everything the scan found (name, category, address, rating, position, status) and gets these, when the map has them.

  • cuisine: Its other categories on the map, up to three: the cuisine for a restaurant, the specialities for a shop.
  • price_level: Its price level as the map shows it.
  • hours: Its opening hours for the week.
  • phone: Its phone number (the scan’s, or a newer one).
  • website: Its website.
  • google_maps: A link to the place on the map.
  • amenities: Up to six of what it offers: delivery, outdoor seating, wheelchair access, Wi-Fi...
  • description: The place’s own short description, when it has one (up to 300 characters).

With Reviews on

Reviews is set to the latest 5, 10, 20 or 40. Reviewers’ names and photos are never kept.

  • latest_reviews: One line per review, newest first: its rating out of 5, when it was written, and its text (up to 280 characters each).
  • reviews_fetched: How many reviews came back (fewer when the place has fewer).
  • recent_rating: The average rating of those reviews: how the place is doing lately, next to its overall rating.
  • recent_low: How many of them are rated 1 or 2.

How to use it

Restaurant suppliers

Restaurants that are slipping

A kitchen equipment supplier wants the well-rated restaurants whose recent reviews turned bad: they are often the ones ready to change suppliers.

Before: Reps read reviews by hand for a handful of accounts.

With the flow: Every Monday, the restaurants with two or more recent bad reviews, with the reviews themselves.

Franchise and retail

What customers say about each branch

With Reviews on, xMap LLM reads each branch’s latest reviews and writes one summary of what to fix where.

FMCG distribution

New outlets to CRM

After Only new and Filter keep the good outlets, POI Intelligence adds the cuisine, hours and contacts that xMap LLM uses to match products and write the pitch.

Specialty food and coffee

Cafes that fit our beans

A coffee roaster wants a weekly list of new cafes that would suit its beans, with the hours to plan visits.

Before: Reps visited cafes at closing time and pitched to places that only serve instant coffee.

With the flow: Every Monday: the new cafes worth a visit, with the hours and why they fit.

B2B sales

Watch my target accounts

Map business scan finds each account on the map by its name; POI Intelligence adds the week’s hours and contacts, so a closed shop or a new phone number shows up in Monday’s email.

Recruitment and B2B sales

Companies hiring near you

Companies hiring, found on the map, then POI Intelligence adds their hours, phone and website for the sales team.

Delivery apps

Restaurants that already deliver

A delivery app wants the restaurants that already run their own delivery: they know the demand is there and are the quickest to sign.

Filter on Another field, amenities, contains, Delivery keeps the restaurants whose amenities list it.

Hospitality

Late-night places near our hotels

The hours field gives the whole week, so xMap LLM can tell which places are still open after midnight on which days.

Retail

Where to open next

POI Intelligence adds each cafe’s details, which xMap LLM reads with its rating, reviews and the competition nearby to score parts of the city for a new branch.

Marketing agencies

A brief on each competitor

An agency preparing a launch for a burger chain wants a one-page view of every burger place in the district: price, hours, what they offer.

Before: Two days of clicking through listings.

With the flow: A sheet with every competitor’s price level, hours and amenities, the same morning.

Good to know

  • It works on places that came from Map business scan (they carry the map’s ID, data_id). Places from elsewhere (a webhook, your table, job postings) pass through unchanged and the step says how many; put Map business scan with Look for: Each place itself before it to find them on the map first.
  • Up to 50 places are enriched in a run; the rest pass through unchanged and the step says so. Keep the best before it: Most places in the scan, Filter, or Sort and limit.
  • Each place is looked up live, two at a time, so 50 places take a little while.
  • A field the map does not have for a place is left out (many places have no description or price level).
  • Every detail the map gives is added. The one setting is Reviews: each place’s latest reviews (up to 40), asked for at the same time as its details. Reviewers’ names, profiles and photos are left out.
  • To have xMap AI read the reviews, put xMap LLM after it with the task Read reviews: it reads every review whole and says what customers praise, what they complain about, and whether it is getting better or worse.
  • Credits: for each place enriched, as shown at the top of the page, plus 1 for each place whose reviews came back when Reviews is on. If the reviews do not answer, the details still come and only they are charged. Places passed through unchanged cost nothing.

Works well with

  • Map business scan: Finds businesses on online maps live: name, category, rating, address, phone, website and whether it is open.
  • Only new: Lets through only the items this flow has not found before, so a daily flow sends only what is new.
  • Filter: Keeps only the items that match a rule.
  • Sort and limit: Puts the items in order, and can keep only the first ones: the 10 best rated, the 20 nearest, the highest fit scores.
  • xMap LLM: Tell the AI what to do in plain words.
  • Email: Sends one email per run with all the items, or one email per item.
  • HubSpot: Powerful CRM that offers tools for sales, customer service, and marketing automation.
  • Show on a map: Shows the results as points on a map, with the area of interest.
