New corporate accounts, before the hotel across the road
Isla leads corporate sales at a big hotel near Haymarket in Edinburgh. Business travellers fill her rooms from Monday to Thursday.
Listen to the story:
The challenge
Her best accounts are companies growing in the city, but she finds them by chance. Last year, a tech firm hired eighty people and booked every interview guest at the hotel across the road. Isla heard about it from the doorman.
How the flow works
With xMap Flows, Isla built Envoy. Envoy is an AI employee: a flow of 8 blocks.
Every Monday at eight,
Every Monday at 8 (Schedule)
Envoy finds the companies hiring in Edinburgh,
Companies hiring here (Job postings)
finds each one’s office,
Their office (Map business scan)
measures how far it is from the hotel,
How far from the hotel (Find nearest)
keeps the ones within two kilometres,
Within 2 km (Filter)
skips the companies already on contract,
Not an account yet (Match with my table)
finds the office manager,
The office manager (Apollo)
and sends a first hello.
A first hello (Outreach)
What it solves
- Accounts by chance: solved by Job postings and Map business scan and Match with my table
- Rivals win the guests: solved by Find nearest and Filter and Outreach
- No one to write to: solved by Apollo
The result
This Monday, Envoy finds thirty-one companies hiring within two kilometres. A software firm in the Quartermile wants fifty engineers. Isla’s hello lands on Tuesday, and by Friday they have signed for every interview guest this spring.
Isla used to hear about new accounts from the doorman. Now she hears first.
An illustrative scenario: the figures are modelled to show what the flow produces, not a customer's results.

Not an account yet
Looks each incoming item up in one of your tables or saved lists (My data), for example your customers.

The office manager
Apollo · Apollo contacts
The people to talk to at each company, and the company’s details, from your own Apollo account (apollo.io): decision makers by job title with their LinkedIn and work email; or the company’s size, industry, revenue and LinkedIn page; or a person from their email.

A first hello
Writes to each result for you: a first message, then up to two follow-ups a few days apart, and stops when they reply.
