Weather forecast
Weather forecast brings the forecast for up to 16 days, from national weather services: temperature, rain, wind and UV. For each place that reaches it, it adds a short forecast (rain expected, how much, the next rainy day, the hottest it will get, a one-line summary). For cities, a point or the Area of interest, it lists the forecast day by day or hour by hour, one row each, ready for a Filter, an email or a sheet.
In the editor: The weather forecast (Open-Meteo, from national weather services) for up to 16 days: temperature, rain, wind and UV. For each incoming place it adds a short forecast and fields such as rain_expected; for cities, a point or the Area of interest it lists the forecast day by day (or hour by hour).

How to use it
Rain alert for my city
The Area of interest gives the city, Weather forecast lists 5 days, and Filter on rain_expected keeps only the rainy days, so the email comes only when it matters.
Warn the riders before a storm
A food delivery app wants riders in each zone told the evening before strong wind or heavy rain.
Before: Riders were caught out and orders came late.
With the flow: Zone leads know the evening before and plan more riders, or fewer.
Pour concrete in the cool hours
A builder pours concrete on sites in London and Manchester and wants the hours under 32 degrees in each city, every morning.
Hour by hour gives one row per hour and city from the current hour on, and Filter reads each hour’s temperature, so the managers see the cool hours at a glance. (Hour by hour works for cities, an area or a point; for each incoming place the forecast is day by day.)
The forecast at each venue, a week before
With a place coming in, Weather forecast adds weather_summary to it, ready to drop into the email.
Rain gear to the right stores
An apparel chain moves umbrellas and rain jackets to the stores where rain is coming.
Each store gets rain_expected, rain_total_mm and next_rain, so the sheet says where, how much and when.
A heat warning for field crews
Each drawn area gets its own forecast, so the safety team knows which crews to move to the morning.
Skip the watering when rain is due
Branch sends the places with rain coming one way and the dry ones the other, so the crews water only where it is needed.
Good to know
- The forecast comes from Open-Meteo, which combines national weather services. A rain day is one with 0.5 mm or more.
- Each incoming place: up to 500 places a run. Places within about 2 km of each other share one forecast. Places without a position pass through unchanged.
- Area of interest: one forecast for the centre of each city or shape, up to 20. Cities: any city name, also {{city}} from a webhook.
- Hour by hour gives up to 2,000 rows a run, in each place’s own time zone; it is for cities, a point or the area, not for each incoming place.
- Temperatures are in °C, rain in mm, wind in km/h.
- Filter has Rain (mm) and Max temperature ready to use, or any field by name, such as rain_expected.
