Location intelligence
Using where things are, and what is around them, to make business decisions.
Location intelligence is the practice of turning data about places into decisions: where to open, which outlets to visit, which competitors moved in, where customers live, which roads are closed. It joins geographic data (places, areas, distances, people) with business data (your customers, your sites, your sales) and, increasingly, with AI that ranks and explains.
Typical questions it answers
- Which new businesses of my target type opened in my territory this week?
- Which of these three sites has the most residents and the fewest competitors within 2 km?
- Which of our customers are within 1 km of a road closure this morning?
- How many pharmacies are there in each district, and how many are independent?
From reports to workflows
Traditionally, location intelligence meant analysts producing maps and reports. The shift now is to workflows that answer the same questions every day by themselves and put the answer in front of the person who acts: the rep, the dispatcher, the site manager. That is what xMap Flows is built for.
