Chat
Chat starts the flow when someone writes in its chat: the chat window in the editor (to try it), or a chat page you can share by link or put on your website. Each message is an item with message and session_id; an AI agent and Reply after it answer, and the agent remembers each visitor’s conversation.

Your team asks questions about your own data in plain words.

Good to know
- Each message is one run of the flow and uses its credits. A visitor can send at most 40 messages a day, and the flow’s monthly credit limit applies.
- The editor’s Chat button lets your team try it: it runs for real but sends nothing.
- Conversations are kept in the visitor’s browser, and by the agent for 30 days (the flow’s … menu, Conversations).
- Replacing the flow’s webhook address gives the chat page a new link: the old one stops working.
- Anyone with the chat page’s link can write to it, and what they write can steer what an AI agent sends. When the agent’s tools send (email, an app, an API, Outreach), xMap suggests an Approval after the agent, added with one click: the agent still answers at once, and its sends wait until someone on your team says yes.
Works well with
- AI agent: An AI agent: for each incoming message it thinks, uses the blocks you link to its Tools port (data, xMap AI, lookups, your tables, other flows, apps), remembers the conversation and writes an answer in {{reply}}.
- Reply: Answers whoever started the flow, on the same channel: the app or system that called its Webhook / API gets the answer back, and a message from Slack, WhatsApp, Telegram, Teams, SMS, Outlook or Discord gets a reply in the same chat, through the account of the block that received it.
- Nearby places: Places around a point from xMap’s own places database (300M+ places, refreshed every month): pick the types of place (more than 5,000, such as Restaurant, Cafe, Pharmacy, Hospital or Gas station, or a whole group of them) and how far to look.
- My data: Brings in a table you uploaded or a list you saved on the My data page: your stores, customers, target accounts or sites.
