Website questions that become showroom visits
Ava runs digital for a furniture brand with nine showrooms across Los Angeles.
Listen to the story:
The challenge
Shoppers see a sofa they like on the website, but they cannot tell which showroom has it. They send an email, wait a day for the answer, and lose interest. Of every hundred people who ask, only four ever walk into a showroom.
How the flow works
With xMap Flows, Ava built Host. Host is an AI employee: a flow of 5 blocks.
When a visitor asks on the website,
Ask us on the website (Chat)
Host finds out what they love and where they live,
A showroom host (AI agent)
checks which showroom nearby has it on the floor,
Showrooms and stock (My data)
books them a visit with a designer,
Book a visit (Google Calendar)
and answers right there in the chat, in seconds.
Answer in the chat (Reply)
What it solves
- Emails answered late: solved by AI agent and Reply
- Which showroom has it?: solved by My data
- 4 in 100 visit: solved by Google Calendar
The result
On Saturday, a couple in Santa Monica asks about a green velvet sofa. Host tells them it is on the floor in Venice, ten minutes away, and books them in at two. Now eighteen of every hundred who ask come in.
Ava’s website stopped answering questions. It started opening doors.
An illustrative scenario: the figures are modelled to show what the flow produces, not a customer's results.
The flow, block by block
- 1
Ask us on the website
Starts the flow when someone writes in its chat: the chat window in the editor, or a chat page you can share or put on your website.
- 2
A showroom host
An AI agent: for each incoming message it thinks, uses the blocks you link to its Tools port (data, xMap AI, lookups, your tables, other flows, apps), remembers the conversation and writes an answer in {{reply}}.
- 3
Showrooms and stock
Brings in a table you uploaded or a list you saved on the My data page: your stores, customers, target accounts or sites.
- 4
- 5
Answer in the chat
Answers whoever started the flow, on the same channel: the app or system that called its Webhook / API gets the answer back, and a message from Slack, WhatsApp, Telegram, Teams, SMS, Outlook or Discord gets a reply in the same chat, through the account of the block that received it.
