Every restaurant her cargo bike can reach
Chiara makes fresh pasta in a tiny workshop in Oltrarno, Florence. She delivers it herself, by cargo bike.
Listen to the story:
The challenge
She can only serve restaurants a short ride away, but she does not know which ones are worth asking. She tried the famous places on the Arno, and they make their own. Hours of walking in, smiling, and being shown the door.
How the flow works
With xMap Flows, Chiara built Ranger. Ranger is an AI employee: a flow of 7 blocks.
Every Monday,
Every Monday (Schedule)
Ranger draws everything within fifteen minutes of her workshop by bike,
15 minutes by bike (Travel area)
finds the trattorias and restaurants inside,
Restaurants in reach (Nearby places)
keeps the ones rated four and a half and up,
Rated 4.5 and up (Filter)
skips the ones she has already asked,
Not asked yet (Only new)
writes each a short note in Italian,
A note from Chiara (xMap LLM)
and invites the chef to taste her pasta.
Invite to a tasting (Outreach)
What it solves
- Who is in reach?: solved by Travel area and Nearby places
- Asking the wrong places: solved by Filter and Only new
- Hours walking in: solved by xMap LLM and Outreach
The result
Ranger finds forty-two good restaurants she can reach before the pasta cools. This week, six get her note, and two chefs reply the same day. By Friday, her cargo bike has two more stops, both in Santo Spirito.
Chiara stopped knocking on the wrong doors. Now the right ones write back.
An illustrative scenario: the figures are modelled to show what the flow produces, not a customer's results.

15 minutes by bike
The area you can reach within a travel time (15 minutes by car) or a distance by road (10 km), on foot, by bike or by car, from each incoming place or from places you pick.
- 3
Restaurants in reach
Places around a point from xMap’s own places database (300M+ places, refreshed every month): pick the types of place (more than 5,000, such as Restaurant, Cafe, Pharmacy, Hospital or Gas station, or a whole group of them) and how far to look.
- 4
- 5
Not asked yet
Lets through only the items this flow has not found before, so a daily flow sends only what is new.
- 6
- 7
Invite to a tasting
Writes to each result for you: a first message, then up to two follow-ups a few days apart, and stops when they reply.
