Every new bar on a rep’s list by Monday
Mateo leads sales at a craft brewery in Monterrey. Four reps sell his beer to bars and restaurants across the city.
Listen to the story:
The challenge
New bars open every week in San Pedro and Barrio Antiguo, and his reps hear about them late. Two reps visited the same bar last Thursday. Nobody visited the new rooftop bar in Cumbres, and a big brewer put its taps in first.
How the flow works
With xMap Flows, Mateo built Radar. Radar is an AI employee: a flow of 7 blocks.
Every Monday at seven,
Every Monday at 7 (Schedule)
across metro Monterrey,
Metro Monterrey (Area of interest)
Radar finds the bars and gastropubs that opened recently,
Bars opened recently (Nearby places)
keeps only the ones it has not seen before,
Not seen before (Only new)
puts the best rated first,
Best rated first (Sort and limit)
splits them fairly between the four reps by area,
Four fair territories (Split by territory)
and emails each rep their own list.
Each rep’s list (Email)
What it solves
- New bars heard late: solved by Nearby places and Only new
- Two reps, same bar: solved by Split by territory
- Rivals pour first: solved by Schedule and Email
The result
On Monday, Radar finds eleven new bars. Each rep gets two or three, close together, with the address and the rating. No double visits, no missed openings. By Friday, seven of the eleven are pouring Mateo’s beer.
Mateo’s reps stopped chasing rumours. Now they arrive before the paint dries.
An illustrative scenario: the figures are modelled to show what the flow produces, not a customer's results.
The flow, block by block

- 2
Metro Monterrey
Sets where the flow looks: countries, cities or specific places, or areas you draw on a map.
- 3
Bars opened recently
Places around a point from xMap’s own places database (300M+ places, refreshed every month): pick the types of place (more than 5,000, such as Restaurant, Cafe, Pharmacy, Hospital or Gas station, or a whole group of them) and how far to look.
- 4
Not seen before
Lets through only the items this flow has not found before, so a daily flow sends only what is new.
- 5
Best rated first
Puts the items in order, and can keep only the first ones: the 10 best rated, the 20 nearest, the highest fit scores.
- 6
Four fair territories
Shares the items out between your reps by area: compact territories of about the same size, so every rep gets a fair share close together.
- 7
