Make a report
Make a report turns the items that reach it into a clean PDF with your organization’s logo and colour: the summary an xMap LLM block wrote for the whole list, the figures, charts by kind and by city, a map and the list. Or short 16:9 slides with one idea a page, or both. It emails the PDF as an attachment, or saves it to a Google Drive folder.

How to use it
A monthly competitor report for each client
An agency in London sends each restaurant client a report on the competitors around it on the first of the month.
The xMap LLM block writes the summary; Make a report puts it at the top, with the figures, a map and the list, under the agency’s own logo.
Road closures, weekly, to a shared folder
A city team in Melbourne keeps a weekly record of road closures for the council.
Before: Someone copied a map into a document every Monday.
With the flow: A PDF lands in the council’s folder every week, by itself.
A board pack on new competitors
Slides keep it to five pages a director reads in a minute.
A site brochure for each listing
Each rep’s week as a PDF
New merchants, scored, for the credit committee
The report’s figures count the strong fits, and the list shows each score.
Good to know
- A test run says what it would make; Run once and live runs make the PDF and send it.
- Emails follow the Email block’s rules: on the Free plan, people at your organization’s email domain; the daily email limit; people who unsubscribed are left out.
- The logo and colour are your organization’s (Settings, Logo and colour). Without them, xMap’s design.
- The list holds the first 100 items; the figures and charts count them all (up to 2,000).
- When places are example data, or travel areas or routes are estimates, the email and the report say so.
- Each document (the report, the slides) costs the credits shown above.
Works well with
- xMap LLM: Tell the AI what to do in plain words.
- Nearby places: Places around a point from xMap’s own places database (300M+ places, refreshed every month): pick the types of place (more than 5,000, such as Restaurant, Cafe, Pharmacy, Hospital or Gas station, or a whole group of them) and how far to look.
- Travel area: The area you can reach within a travel time (15 minutes by car) or a distance by road (10 km), on foot, by bike or by car, from each incoming place or from places you pick.
- Split by territory: Shares the items out between your reps by area: compact territories of about the same size, so every rep gets a fair share close together.
- Route planner: Puts the places that reach it in the best order to visit them in a day, from a start you pick: one route, one for each rep (by a field such as owner), or shared out between a number of reps.
- Traffic incidents: Road closures, roadworks and other incidents on online maps right now, with where they are.
- Email: Sends one email per run with all the items, or one email per item.
- Show on a map: Shows the results as points on a map, with the area of interest.
