Selling every billboard to the brand next door
Catalina is sales director at one of Chile’s largest billboard companies. She has sixty boards across Santiago to fill.
Listen to the story:
The challenge
Her team sells by calling the same big brands every quarter. Meanwhile a gym chain opens three branches beside their boards and books a rival’s screens. And nobody can tell a client which boards drivers sit in front of the longest.
How the flow works
With xMap Flows, Catalina built Spotter. Spotter is an AI employee: a flow of 7 blocks.
Every Monday at eight,
Mondays at 8 (Schedule)
for each of her sixty boards,
Our sixty boards (My data)
Spotter finds the brands that opened a branch within a kilometre,
Brands opened nearby (Nearby places)
measures how slowly the traffic moves past it,
Where traffic crawls (Traffic Flow)
writes why each brand should take that board,
Pitch each brand (xMap LLM)
keeps the ten best matches,
Ten best matches (Sort and limit)
and turns them into slides for the sales meeting.
Slides for the team (Make a report)
What it solves
- Same calls every quarter: solved by Nearby places and xMap LLM
- Missed new openings: solved by Schedule and Nearby places
- No proof of eyes: solved by Traffic Flow and Make a report
The result
On Monday, Spotter finds twenty-four brands that opened beside her boards. The best ten are on the slides, each with the road speed outside. Catalina’s team calls brands it had never thought of, and books four boards that week.
Catalina stopped selling empty boards. Now she sells the brand next door.
An illustrative scenario: the figures are modelled to show what the flow produces, not a customer's results.

Our sixty boards
Brings in a table you uploaded or a list you saved on the My data page: your stores, customers, target accounts or sites.
- 3
Brands opened nearby
Places around a point from xMap’s own places database (300M+ places, refreshed every month): pick the types of place (more than 5,000, such as Restaurant, Cafe, Pharmacy, Hospital or Gas station, or a whole group of them) and how far to look.
- 4
Where traffic crawls
How the traffic is moving on the roads around each place, right now: the current speed and the free-flow speed in km/h, how jammed the roads are (a jam factor from 0, free, to 10, standstill), the congestion as a percentage, the level in words, how many roads were measured and closed, and the busiest road.
- 5
- 6
Ten best matches
Puts the items in order, and can keep only the first ones: the 10 best rated, the 20 nearest, the highest fit scores.
- 7
Slides for the team
Turns the items that reach it into a clean PDF report with your logo and colour: the summary an xMap LLM block wrote for the whole list, the figures, charts of kinds and cities, a map and the list.
