Classrooms by the station, with few rivals around
Haruto opens new branches for a chain of cram schools in Osaka. Parents pick a school their children can walk to from the station.
Listen to the story:
The challenge
He needs classroom space near a station, with few rival schools close by. He walks the streets around Umeda and Tennoji, checks the agents’ windows, and counts rival signs by hand. By the time he finds a good floor, someone else has signed the lease.
How the flow works
With xMap Flows, Haruto built Chalk. Chalk is an AI employee: a flow of 7 blocks.
Every morning at eight,
Every morning at 8 (Schedule)
around Osaka’s busiest stations,
Osaka’s main stations (Area of interest)
Chalk finds the office space for rent within five minutes’ walk of a station,
Office space for rent (Regional data sources)
keeps the new ones,
New since yesterday (Only new)
counts the cram schools around each,
Rival cram schools (Nearby places)
keeps the floors with two rivals or fewer,

and posts them to his team.

What it solves
- Walking the streets: solved by Regional data sources
- Counting rivals by hand: solved by Nearby places and Filter
- Leases gone first: solved by Schedule and Only new and Microsoft Teams
The result
On Tuesday, Chalk finds a second floor four minutes from Tennoji station, listed overnight, with only one cram school nearby. Haruto views it at ten and signs by lunch. It opens in spring with sixty students.
Haruto stopped walking the streets for space. Now he sees it first.
An illustrative scenario: the figures are modelled to show what the flow produces, not a customer's results.
