Independent bookshops and libraries for my publishing house
Independent bookshops and libraries with their buyers, every quarter.
What it does
Every quarter: independent bookshops and public libraries in your country’s main cities, the new ones only, with the owner or buyer from Apollo, into HubSpot for the distribution team.
In one sentence: Monthly on the 1st at 08:00, in Nairobi, Mombasa and Kampala, find book stores, bookses and 10 more in the area, keep only new ones, find the Owner, Buyer and Librarian with Apollo, then create contact in HubSpot and email the list to you.
Why it is useful
Independent bookshops and libraries choose books themselves. Reaching the buyer directly gets your titles on their shelves.
Who it is for
Media, newsrooms & publishing. Newsrooms, broadcasters, publishers and media sales teams who need local stories, audiences and advertisers first. Every use case for media & publishing
Best use cases

- A book distributor
- An educational publisher
What each run gives you
- New leads in HubSpot
The time it saves
Monthly on the 1st at 08:00. Doing the same work by hand takes about 90 minutes each time; it runs about 1 time a month, so it saves about 2 hours a month (an estimate). It is medium: 7 blocks.
The flow, block by block
- On the 1st of every monthTrigger · ScheduleStarts the flow on a timetable.
- Main citiesWhere · Area of interestSets where the flow looks: countries, cities or specific places, or areas you draw on a map.
- Bookshops and librariesxMap data · Nearby placesPlaces around a point from xMap’s own places database (300M+ places, refreshed every month): pick the types of place (more than 5,000, such as Restaurant, Cafe, Pharmacy, Hospital or Gas station, or a whole group of them) and how far to look.
- Only new onesLogic · Only newLets through only the items this flow has not found before, so a daily flow sends only what is new.
- Buyer from ApolloYour data · ApolloThe people to talk to at each company, and the company’s details, from your own Apollo account (apollo.io): decision makers by job title with their LinkedIn and work email; or the company’s size, industry, revenue and LinkedIn page; or a person from their email.
- Add them to HubSpotApp · HubSpotPowerful CRM that offers tools for sales, customer service, and marketing automation.
- Email me the resultsAction · EmailSends one email per run with all the items, or one email per item.
Every block can be changed after you use the template: the city, the type of place, the score, where the results go.

How to set it up
- The xMap Flows browser extension: what is around this business: On a company’s website or a place on a map, one click shows its market and the AI employees to hire for it.
- Build your first flow in ten minutes: From a blank page to a flow that emails you a ranked list every morning.
- What xMap remembers about your company: Your city, industry and what you sell, filled in for you and always yours to change.
- Ask the map a question: How many of a kind of place, how many people for each, and where the gaps are, answered on the spot.
- How to build a B2B lead list from the map: Every business of a type in your territory, with contacts, scored, in a sheet or CRM.
- How to find the decision maker at each new business: Places from the map, people from your Apollo account, in one flow.
- Location intelligence: Using where things are, and what is around them, to make business decisions.
