Where seniors need home care most
The blocks where the most seniors live with the fewest home care providers, every month.
What it does
Every month: the blocks of your city with the most people over 60, the home care providers within 2 km, the seniors per provider, the 20 most underserved blocks emailed and mapped.
In one sentence: Monthly on the 1st at 08:00, in Toronto, count who lives around, sort them by seniors_60_plus and keep the top 50, count the home health care services within 2 km of each, work out new fields, sort them by seniors_per_provider and keep the top 20, then email the list to you and show them on a map.
Why it is useful
Home care demand follows where older people live, not where offices are. This flow shows the underserved blocks so recruiting and marketing go where the need is.

How to set it up
- Ask the map a question: How many of a kind of place, how many people for each, and where the gaps are, answered on the spot.
- Count what is around each of your places: Competitors, footfall magnets or services within a distance of each site.
- Compare sites side by side: Two or three spots measured the same way, one column each, the best of every row marked and the best site and why.
- An instant site report of any spot: Paused for now while xMap improves the data behind it. Reports already made still open.
- Catchment area: The area a store or service draws its customers from.
- Site selection: Choosing where to open a store, branch, clinic or facility.
- Location intelligence: Using where things are, and what is around them, to make business decisions.
