Every customer at the airport with time to spare
Diego runs a small car rental business near the airport in Mexico City.
Listen to the story:
The challenge
His customers drop their cars back on the way to their flights. When the traffic turns solid, they arrive late and panicked, and some miss their plane. They blame him in their reviews, and he refunds the day.
How the flow works
With xMap Flows, Diego built Timekeeper. Timekeeper is an AI employee: a flow of 7 blocks.
Every half hour from five in the morning,
Every half hour (Schedule)
Timekeeper takes the day's returns and where each customer is staying,
Today's returns (My data)
measures how jammed the roads around each hotel are,
Traffic at each hotel (Traffic Flow)
works out when each customer should leave,
When to leave (Calculated field)
picks the ones who should leave soon,
Leave in the next 2 hours (Filter)
skips anyone already told,
Not told yet (Only new)
and sends each one a friendly message with the time to go.

What it solves
- Late, panicked returns: solved by Traffic Flow and Calculated field
- Refunds and bad reviews: solved by Calculated field and WhatsApp Business
- No warning to customers: solved by Filter and Only new and WhatsApp Business
The result
On Friday afternoon the roads around Polanco slow to a crawl. Timekeeper tells three customers staying there to leave forty minutes early. All three hand back their keys with time for a coffee, and one of them books again for next month.
Diego can't clear the traffic. But his customers no longer miss their planes.
An illustrative scenario: the figures are modelled to show what the flow produces, not a customer's results.

Today's returns
Brings in a table you uploaded or a list you saved on the My data page: your stores, customers, target accounts or sites.
- 3
Traffic at each hotel
How the traffic is moving on the roads around each place, right now: the current speed and the free-flow speed in km/h, how jammed the roads are (a jam factor from 0, free, to 10, standstill), the congestion as a percentage, the level in words, how many roads were measured and closed, and the busiest road.

Not told yet
Lets through only the items this flow has not found before, so a daily flow sends only what is new.
