Drivers in place before the storm breaks
Linh leads driver operations at one of Hanoi's biggest motorbike taxi services.
Listen to the story:
The challenge
When a storm breaks over the city, ride requests jump in minutes. Drivers are on the wrong side of town, riders wait in the rain, and half of them cancel. Her team only learns where the rain hit from the complaints, an hour later.
How the flow works
With xMap Flows, Linh built Rainwatch. Rainwatch is an AI employee: a flow of 6 blocks.
Every morning at five and again at noon,
5 am and noon (Schedule)
Rainwatch looks at her twelve busiest districts,
Twelve busy districts (My data)
checks how much rain is coming to each one today,
Rain today (Weather forecast)
saves every forecast in the team's sheet,
Every forecast, kept (Google Sheets)
picks the districts where heavy rain is coming,
Heavy rain coming (Filter)
and tells the dispatch room to send drivers there early.
Tell the dispatch room (Microsoft Teams)
What it solves
- Storms catch them out: solved by Weather forecast
- Riders wait, then cancel: solved by Filter and Microsoft Teams
- No record of the rain: solved by Google Sheets
The result
At five, Rainwatch sees heavy rain coming for Cau Giay and Ba Dinh. Dispatch moves one hundred and twenty drivers there before the afternoon rush. Waits stay under five minutes, and the sheet shows which districts fill up every time it pours.
Linh's drivers no longer chase the storm. They are already there.
An illustrative scenario: the figures are modelled to show what the flow produces, not a customer's results.
