Ads where the shoppers really come from
Thiago is the marketing director of a group that owns three shopping malls in Sao Paulo.
Listen to the story:
The challenge
He spends millions on billboards and radio, spread across the whole city, because nobody knows where shoppers really come from. The yearly survey asks two hundred people at the door. By the time it is printed, a new metro line has changed everything.
How the flow works
With xMap Flows, Thiago built Lodestar. Lodestar is an AI employee: a flow of 6 blocks.
On the first Monday of every month,
First Monday of the month (Schedule)
Lodestar takes his three malls,
Our three malls (My data)
learns where their visitors come from and how they travel,
Where visitors come from (Mobility Footfall)
picks the districts worth advertising in,
Districts to target (xMap LLM)
makes a short report,
The monthly media plan (Make a report)
and sends it to the media agency.

What it solves
- Ads across the city: solved by Mobility Footfall and xMap LLM
- 200 answers a year: solved by Mobility Footfall
- Data out of date: solved by Schedule and Make a report
The result
This month, Lodestar shows that one in three visitors to the mall in Itaim come from Pinheiros and Vila Olimpia, and most arrive by car. Thiago moves half his billboards to those two districts, and puts a parking offer in every ad.
Thiago stopped advertising to the whole city. Now he talks to his own shoppers.
An illustrative scenario: the figures are modelled to show what the flow produces, not a customer's results.
