Calling the companies about to move
Sakura leads business sales for a big telecom company in Tokyo. She sells office internet and phone lines.
Listen to the story:
The challenge
The best moment to win a company is when it moves office. But she hears about moves after the contract is signed with someone else. Her team calls hundreds of offices in Marunouchi and Shinagawa, asking if anything is changing. Almost nothing is.
How the flow works
With xMap Flows, Sakura built Birch. Birch is an AI employee: a flow of 6 blocks.
Every Monday at eight,
Every Monday at 8 (Schedule)
Birch finds the Tokyo companies hiring office and facilities managers,
Office and facility roles (Job postings)
looks up each company’s office,
Each company’s office (Map business scan)
scores how likely each is to be moving or opening an office,
Moving or growing? (Jev decision)
keeps the top fifteen,
The top fifteen (Sort and limit)
and sends the list to her team.
The team’s call list (Email)
What it solves
- Hears about moves late: solved by Job postings and Jev decision
- Hundreds of cold calls: solved by Jev decision and Sort and limit
- Calls that go nowhere: solved by Sort and limit and Email
The result
This week, Birch finds ninety companies hiring office managers, and fifteen that look like a move. Her team calls those first. Four are planning new floors in Shibuya and Toyosu, and two sign before they move.
Sakura’s team stopped asking who is moving. Now they call the ones who are.
An illustrative scenario: the figures are modelled to show what the flow produces, not a customer's results.
