Every warehouse roof, and who really owns it
Jake owns a small solar company in Phoenix. He puts panels on the flat roofs of warehouses and workshops.
Listen to the story:
The challenge
The roofs are easy to see from the street, but finding who owns them is not. He knocks on doors and meets tenants who cannot decide. Weeks later, he learns the owner lives in another state, and the roof went to a bigger installer.
How the flow works
With xMap Flows, Jake built Sunray. Sunray is an AI employee: a flow of 7 blocks.
Every Monday at seven,
Every Monday at 7 (Schedule)
across west Phoenix,
West Phoenix (Area of interest)
Sunray finds the warehouses and workshops,
Warehouses and workshops (Nearby places)
skips the ones he has seen before,
Not seen before (Only new)
looks up who owns each building in the county records,
Who owns each roof (Property changes)
scores the best roofs for solar,
Best roofs for solar (xMap LLM)
and emails Jake each owner’s mailing address.

What it solves
- Talking to tenants: solved by Property changes
- Owners in other states: solved by Property changes and Email
- Weeks lost per roof: solved by Nearby places and xMap LLM
The result
This Monday, Sunray finds thirty-eight new buildings, each with its owner and their mailing address. Twenty-two owners live out of state. The best roof, near the airport, belongs to an investor in Chicago. By Friday, Jake has booked a site survey.
Jake stopped knocking on tenants’ doors. Now he writes straight to the owner.
An illustrative scenario: the figures are modelled to show what the flow produces, not a customer's results.

Warehouses and workshops
Places around a point from xMap’s own places database (300M+ places, refreshed every month): pick the types of place (more than 5,000, such as Restaurant, Cafe, Pharmacy, Hospital or Gas station, or a whole group of them) and how far to look.

Not seen before
Lets through only the items this flow has not found before, so a daily flow sends only what is new.
- 5
Who owns each roof
Changes to county property records in the United States, read from each county’s own public records by xMap’s property service: new owners, sales with their price, new values and taxes, zoning or use, new mailing addresses, and parcels added or removed, each with its address, the owner now and before, the date and a position on the map.
