A covered clinic near home within the hour
Freya leads member services at a health insurer in London.
Listen to the story:
The challenge
Members email when their doctor sends them to physio: which clinic can I use? Her team looks up each policy, searches for clinics, checks the network. Each answer takes two days, and some members pay privately and claim later, at twice the cost.
How the flow works
With xMap Flows, Freya built Triage. Triage is an AI employee: a flow of 7 blocks.
When a member's email arrives,
A member asks (Microsoft Outlook event)
Triage reads what treatment they need,
What they need (xMap LLM)
looks up their policy and where they live,
Their policy and home (Match with my table)
finds physiotherapy clinics near their home,
Clinics near home (Nearby places)
keeps the ones in the network,
In the network (Match with my table)
picks the three nearest,
The three nearest (Sort and limit)
and replies within the hour.
The answer, same hour (Microsoft Outlook)
What it solves
- 2 days to answer: solved by xMap LLM and Microsoft Outlook
- Searches by hand: solved by Sort and limit and Microsoft Outlook
- Private bills at 2x: solved by Nearby places and Match with my table
The result
Yesterday, two hundred and forty members asked. Every one had three covered clinics near home within the hour, most a short walk away. Private bills fell by a third, and her team now spends its time on the hard cases.
Freya's members used to wait for an answer. Now they wait for their appointment.
An illustrative scenario: the figures are modelled to show what the flow produces, not a customer's results.
