EV charging

EV charging brings in public charging stations for electric vehicles from Open Charge Map, the open register of chargers around the world: around your places, in an area or around a point. Each station comes with its operator, connectors, highest power, status and address; or each of your places gets how many stations and charge points are near it, how many are fast, the nearest one and the main operators.

In the editor: Public charging stations for electric vehicles from Open Charge Map, the open, worldwide register: around each incoming place with counts (stations, charge points, fast stations, the highest power, the nearest and the main operators), or the stations themselves around places, in the Area of interest or around a point, each with its operator, connectors, power, status and address. Where few stations are listed, the step says the coverage may be thin.

What comes out

Each item that leaves the block carries these fields, to use in the blocks after it as {{field}}.

Each station, as an item

The stations found, or the Area of interest or a point.

  • address, city, country, lat, lng: Where it is.
  • points, connectors: How many cars can charge at once, and the plugs.
  • max_power_kw, fast: Its highest power, and whether it is fast (50 kW or more).

How to use it

Energy

Charging network report for my cities

Every public charger in three cities each week, with the fast ones, the operators and the gaps.

Automotive

Car dealers with no fast charger nearby

Dealers ranked by the fast chargers around them, so electric test drives have one close by.

Retail

Charging near our stores

A supermarket chain in France wants to offer charging where its customers have none.

Before: Nobody knew which car parks had chargers around them.

With the flow: The stores with none nearby are first in line for chargers.

Hotels

Charging for our guests

A hotel group in Lisbon tells guests where to charge.

Logistics

Fast charging for an electric fleet

Drivers know the nearest ultra-fast charger to each depot.

Real estate

Chargers near each listing

Buyers with electric cars ask; agents have the answer.

Public sector

Districts short of chargers

The city plans new on-street chargers where there are none.

Parking

Car parks to equip

The car parks with no charger close by are the ones to equip first.

Good to know

  • 2 credits for each place or area searched, at least 12 a run. Places close together share one search.
  • Open Charge Map is open data under CC BY 4.0, filled in by charging networks, governments and drivers. Its coverage varies by country: where few stations are listed, the step says so.
  • A station’s status is as last reported; last_verified says when.
  • Within the Area of interest only stations inside the area count, searched from its middle up to 25 km out.
  • Put Only new after it to hear about each new station once.

Works well with

  • Nearby places: Places around a point from xMap’s own places database (300M+ places, refreshed every month): pick the types of place (more than 5,000, such as Restaurant, Cafe, Pharmacy, Hospital or Gas station, or a whole group of them) and how far to look.
  • My data: Brings in a table you uploaded or a list you saved on the My data page: your stores, customers, target accounts or sites.
  • Filter: Keeps only the items that match a rule.
  • Sort and limit: Puts the items in order, and can keep only the first ones: the 10 best rated, the 20 nearest, the highest fit scores.
  • xMap LLM: Tell the AI what to do in plain words.
  • Email: Sends one email per run with all the items, or one email per item.
  • Show on a map: Shows the results as points on a map, with the area of interest.
  • Only new: Lets through only the items this flow has not found before, so a daily flow sends only what is new.
