What Make is
Make (formerly Integromat) is a visual automation platform: you draw scenarios of modules that pass data between apps, with routers, filters and iterators. It is flexible and popular with operations and agency teams.
Like other general automation tools, it expects you to bring the data. Location work (searching an area, covering a country, matching places across runs, ranking them) has to be assembled from generic modules and outside providers.
Where xMap Flows is different
- Each flow is an AI employee with a job: a role, a timetable, a monthly budget, and a choice of how much it does alone (ask me first, act and tell me, or fully on its own). Together they work as a team: an org chart, handoffs from one to the next, a Team inbox where each reports, and a weekly review.
- Location data included: places, hiring, traffic, weather, demographics, satellite, ships, country datasets.
- The canvas speaks location: Area of interest, Find nearest, Zone alert, maps of results.
- xMap AI scoring, Only new and What changed are single blocks.
- Results live on after the run: notes, saved lists and views, dashboards and shared maps.
- A flow reads as a sentence, and Ask xMap builds it from one.
When Make is the better choice
We would rather you use the right tool. Make is likely the better fit when:
- Complex app-to-app processes with many branches and iterations over data you already own.
- Connectors for apps outside sales, operations and location work.
- Fine control over every data transformation step.
Use them together
Use xMap Flows for the location side (finding, ranking and remembering places) and have it call a Make webhook to continue into processes Make already runs.
Moving to xMap Flows
- Find the scenarios that call place or map data providers.
- Rebuild them as flows; Ask xMap can build each from a description of the scenario.
- Hand results back to Make with a webhook where a scenario must continue.
Most teams start from a template or by describing the flow to Ask xMap.
Questions
Is xMap Flows a general automation tool too?
It can run general automations (webhooks, apps, logic, code), but it is built for work that starts from places and areas.
Do I need coding skills?
No. Describe the flow and Ask xMap builds it; Custom code is there when you want it.
