Maya is the only coordinator at a small reading charity in Atlanta. She pairs children with volunteer tutors. New families sign up on a form, and she matches each one by hand with a map and a spreadsheet. It takes her a week. By then, some families have stopped answering, and a few volunteers quit, never matched at all. With xMap Flows, Maya built Harbor. When a new family signs up, Harbor finds the nearest free volunteer, writes them a warm introduction, sends it to both, waits three days, and checks that the first lesson happened. A grandmother in Decatur signed up at nine on Tuesday. By ten she had an email from a retired teacher four minutes away. Every new family now hears the same day, and seventy children started reading this autumn. Maya used to match children with tutors. Now she gets to watch them read.
