Open a place on an online map so its own details show, and press the xMap button: the panel finds the place in xMap’s own places data at that spot and shows its market within 2 km of it (competitors, chains and independents, ratings, openings where the data has dates) and the AI employees to hire for it. Only the place’s name and position in the page’s address are used; nothing is read from the map’s page. A search on a map works too: the kind of place searched, around the map’s middle.
The panel now shows the answer for the tab it was looked up in. Switch to another tab, or open another page or place, and it asks you to press the button again, instead of showing the answer before. Both come with version 1.1.0 of the extension, on its way to the Chrome Web Store; Chrome updates it by itself. How it works is in the browser extension.
